In Capesterre-Belle-Eau, the soft slopes plains rise gradually to the thick tropical forests of the mountainous zone. Since half a century, banana has replaced cane here

The borough, with lots of shops, has developed around the church and of the town hall. At Capesterre-Belle-Eau exit, the secondary road D3 will carry you out towards the 3rd fall of the carbet. If you remain on the main road, you will not be long in discovering the famous Allée Dumanoir, bordered by a double line of royal palm trees planted around 1850 by a member of the Pinel Dumanoir family . Not far, is the dwelling Bois Debout, where the poet Saint John Perse lived a part of his childhood. It is in Saint-Sauveur that you turn, in direction of Habituée, to reach the beautifulls 2nd and 1st falls of the Carbet. Then you will cross the small fishing harbour of Bananier, and can admire splendid panoramas on Les Saintes,  beautyful islands a few miles from Guadeloupe.
