Gosier has
been for several decades the most important place of balneal
tourism. Spectacle in the street, spectacle of the sea, spice
perfumes and marine emanations, colonial houses and
comfortable hotels, all mixes in a delicious exotic cocktail.
|
Beaches,
hotels, restaurants, night clubs, sports clubs and
shops of Bas du Fort, located in the borough
or along the main road which leads to Sainte-Anne
are as many pretexts for the visitor who wants to
have fun or relax. On Main road 4, in Bas du Fort at
the very top of the hill, dominating the Petit Cul
de Sac Marin, is the Fort Fleur d'Epée. This
bastion located before the borough when you come
from Pointe-à-Pitre, dates from the XVIIIth Century.
The visit of the site will allow you, in addition to
the historical interest, to benefit from a splendid
sight from the ramparts.
