Petit-Bourg is the most extended commune of Guadeloupe. It is open on the Petit Cul de Sac Marin and profits from an exceptional hinterland with the forest of the National Park. The Route de la Traversée allows to discover superb sites and beautiful panoramas. The Mamelle of Petit Bourg which culminates at 716 m (2148 feet) offers a splendid point of view, the road which goes down from the pass to the first dwellings passes in front of the House of the Forest and near the Cascade aux Ecrevisses (Crayfish Cascade).
