Half-day walks:

South, to the commune of the Trois Ilets, and discover the borough. Visit of Joséphine native house, the Museum of La Pagerie.
Go on by the Anses d'Arlet, small borough of fishermen, then go to the Rocher du Diamant. Then, stop at the Three-Rivers distilling for a martiniquais " takeoff "(glass of rum). Return to your lodging.


The Fonds Blancs, start towards the Atlantic Coast. Thanks to fishermen small boats, sail along the coral barrier. Discover the mangrove and the mangroves, place of an exceptional fauna.
Stop and bathe in the famous " Baignoire de Joséphine ".

Fort de France, visit the splendid garden of Balata, Saint Louis Cathedral and enjoy the scents and colors of the markets.

Complete day walk :

To the North, departure in the tropical part of the island, in the north of Martinique. Discover the Sacré Coeur and stop first in the Garden of Balata, splendid garden where are gathered fruits, flowers and plants of the whole world. Go on by the Road of La Trace, in the tropical forest. Near the Montagne Pelée (Peeled Mountain), is the Leyritz Plantation: have lunch and visit this splendid field, rich of history, and the small museum of vegetable dolls. Then, through the plantations of pineapple, go towards the Atlantic Coast and stop at the Saint James distilling.

To the South departure for the South of the island and the commune of the Trois Ilets. Visit the Domaine de la Pagerie where was born Impératrice Joséphine de Beauharnais; then stop at the " Maison de la Canne ". Going on towards the south, discover the techniques of Rum manufacture and tasting in an authentic distilling. Arrival on the splendid beach of the Salines in Sainte Anne: bathe, and have lunch.
After this moment of relaxation, continue towards Le Diamant and its majestic Rock, and the picturesque road of the Anses, crossing small villages of fishermen.
At the end of the afternoon, return to your lodging.


North After the breakfast, departure towards the heights of Fort de France and stop in the garden of Balata, splendid botanical park. Go on towards the Caribbean Coast and the historic site of St Pierre (classified town of art and history). Visit the ruins and the museum. Go on towards the crossing of the pineapple and banana plantations. Have lunch with local specialities.
After lunch, go along the Atlantic Coast of the island: contrasted landscape with the communes of Marigot and Lorrain and a superb point of view on the peninsula of La Caravelle. Stop at the Museum of Rum, Saint James distilling, you can taste and purchase the local specialities.
